Who qualifies?

How do I obtain a VA home loan?
Filling out VA Form 26-1880, the request for your Certificate of Eligibility, is the first step in applying for your VA home loan. This certificate is issued only through the Veterans Administration and can be found here.
Why do I pay a VA funding fee?
The Veteran's Administration charges a VA funding fee to guarantee the loan to a qualified veteran. A VA funding fee is similar to Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) but can be rolled into your VA loan. You can estimate the amount of your VA funding fee here.
What if I want to buy a home that costs more than the VA loan limit of $415,000?
